How do i keep my desktop cooler that the original fan does?

My proseccor keeps over-heating on GTA san andreas, and i was wondering what i could do to keep it cooler than it normaly is, i was thinking taking the case off, keeping the room 65-70 degrees, leaving it in the middle of the floor and blow a fan into it, not sure if it would help or not, anyone have any ideas?

Get a higher quality Heatsink/Fan for your CPU. The one that the factory put on there is not usually top of the line. But chances are the one you have is covered in dust. Try cleaning it with a can of Air. You will need to take the side of the case off to do that.
